JESUS VS THE DEVIL

The devil vs Jesus

Jesus said in Matt. 12:47 ..."I did not come to judge the world but to save the world."

The first five verses below reveal Jesus' mission on earth and satan's mission on earth. Each verse contains both Jesus' and satan's intentions towards mankind.

Col. 2:15 tells us that Jesus stripped satan of his power. A child of God has authority over satan, although a lot of Christians don't know that.

Notice in the last five verses, at the bottom of this page, the Word of God is telling YOU to do something about the devil, not God, but YOU!

I Jn. 3:8…the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of satan.

Acts 10:38...God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by satan, for God was with Him.

Lk. 13:15-16 The Lord then answered him and said, “Hypocrite! … ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom satan has bound—think of it—for eighteen years, be loosed from this bond…

Jn. 10:10 “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

Acts 26:15-18 ‘I am Jesus… v.16 I have appeared to you for this purpose, to make you a minister and a witness…to… send you, v.18 ‘to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.

As stated above, the following verses are telling "YOU" to do something about the devil.

Lk. 10:19-20 “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. v.20 “Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven.

Mk. 16:17 “And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons;

Jms. 4:7-8 Resist satan and he will flee from you. v.8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.

I Pet. 5:8-9 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary satan walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. v.9 Resist him, steadfast in the (your) faith, knowing that the same sufferings (tests and trials) are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.

Eph. 4:27 …Nor give place to the devil (an opportunity).
