HOW TO PRAY

Here are some of my personal prayers that I pray to God every morning and/or thru the day. --Tom Administrator

How To Pray In The Morning Example:

Good-morning Father! Good-morning Jesus! Good-morning Holy Spirit! Father, forgive me of all my sins and wash me in the blood of Jesus.

(sometimes I'll say, "Father, forgive me for anything I may have said or done or thought of that is considered a sin in Your sight!").

Strengthen me with might, through Your Spirit, in my inner man, that Christ Jesus would not only dwell but also rule and reign in my heart, in my spirit, through faith.

Father, reveal to me the width, the length, the height and the depth of Your love towards me.

Let me be the evidence of what Your grace can do. Make Thy face shine upon me and look upon me with favor and bring me peace.

(sometimes I'll add here: "Father, You are my witness. As a child of Yours and with the authority You have given unto me, I rebuke and bind and cancel the assignment of any demon, devil or unclean spirit that comes against me, in the name of Jesus).

In Jesus' name, I pray, through the power and presence of the Holy Spirit, Father, Amen.

How To Pray For A Loved One.

When I pray for a loved one I might pray: Father, I intercede for so -n- so. I ask that You would forgive them for their sins. Open their eyes to the light. Open their eyes to righteousness. Fill them with the hunger and thirst for Jesus, for Your Word. Rescue them from the powers of darkness like You did me. Send children of Yours to cross their paths, to come into their life. In Jesus' name, I pray Father, Amen

How To Pray With authority.

Sometimes I'll pray with authority for a loved one:"satan!" "I break your power over so -n- so's life!" "I claim their salvation and their full deliverance, in the name of Jesus!" For it is written: "Believe in Jesus, and thou shalt be saved, thee and thy whole household. "Hallelujah, Praise God, Thank You, Jesus!" (Acts 16:31 and Acts 11:13-15)

The above scripture is not exactly the way it is written in the Bible, I just say it in my own words. When you say, "It is written!" You are using the sword of the Spirit (your offensive weapon) which is the Word of God. I just use the sword of the Spirit the same way that Jesus did when He was tempted and tested by the devil in the wilderness.

A lot of times when I pray I'll remind God of His Word. For instance I might say something like: "Father, You say in Your Word that You will supply all my need." Lord, I don't know what to do about rent. Before I was laid-off I've had a perfect payment attendance with my land-lord and I don't want to mess that up. In Your Word You say that all things are possible to those who believe, so Father, I'm going to believe You for a financial blessing or a job opportunity. I'm going to trust You to rescue me from this situation. Thank You, Father, Amen.

How To Pray Before You Go To Bed.

Before I go to sleep I might say: "I command every demon, devil and unclean spirit that might be in my presence to flee and I command the holy angels that are in my presence to push far from me all powers of darkness, in the name of Jesus Christ. And Father, to You be all the praise and the glory forever, Hallelujah, thank You Jesus, Amen.

How To Pray Using Praise And/Or Worship.

I'm not a very good worship or praising God person. But, I can tell you, that it IS very, very, very important to be one! So, I always 'thank' God for practically everything in my life, all the time. I know that, that is a form of praise and worship.

Also, I came up with a little personal song that I sing to God all the time. It goes like this:

"I love You, Lord! "I love You, Lord! I worship You! I praise You!" "Oh... Hallelujah!" "Hallelujah!" "Thank You, Jesus!" "Thank You, Jesus!"

I know it's not much but that's between me and God.

How to pray examples

These are prayers straight out of the Bible. I just inserted my name. This is one of my 'remind God of His Word' prayers.

Psalm 91:14 “Because Tom has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver Tom; I will set Tom on high, because Tom has known My name. 15. Tom shall call upon Me, and I will answer Tom; I will be with Tom in trouble; I will deliver Tom and honor Tom. 16. With long life I will satisfy Tom, And show Tom My salvation.

Prayer in it's basic form is simply taking the Word of God, going before Him and reminding Him of what He said.

How to pray a Blessing

This is a prayer that you might pray over your children and/or for yourself.

"The Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you; The Lord lift up His countenance upon you (look upon you with favor), And give you peace." (Numbers 6:22-27)

How to Pray example that Jesus spoke of...

Mark 11:22 “Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God. 23. “For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. 24. “Therefore I say to Tom, whatever things Tom asks when Tom prays, believe that Tom receives them, and Tom will have them. 25. “And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses. 26. “But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses.

Learning how to pray just takes a little practice, just don't wait until you're in trouble to practice

Prayer example that Paul prayed.

I pray this prayer for myself all the time. I just insert my name everywhere it says 'me.'

Ephesians 1:17 Dear Lord God Almighty I pray that You would give to me the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of You, 18. I pray that the eyes of my understanding be enlightened; that I may know what is the hope of Your calling, what are the riches of the glory of Your inheritance in the saints, 19. and what is the exceeding greatness of Your power toward me who believes, according to the working of Your mighty power…

How to Pray example of Jabez ..."Oh, that You would bless me indeed and enlarge my territory (border), that Your hand would be with me and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!" So God granted him what he requested (I Chr. 4:10).

Another prayer example by Paul...

...only I inserted 'I' instead of 'They' (which is in the original prayer) so I could pray this prayer for myself!

Colossians 1:9 …I pray Father, and ask that I may be filled with the knowledge of Your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; 10. that I may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; 11. strengthened with all might, according to Your glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy; 12. giving thanks to You Father who has qualified me to be a partaker of the inheritance of the saints in the light. 13. You have delivered me from the power of darkness and transferred me into the kingdom of the Son of Your love, 14. in whom I have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.

Ephesians 3:14 … I bow my knees to You Father of my Lord Jesus Christ, 15. from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, 16. that You would grant me, according to the riches of Your glory, to be strengthened with might through Your Spirit in my inner man, 17. that Christ may dwell in my heart through faith; that I, being rooted and grounded in love, 18. may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— 19. to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that I may be filled with all the fullness of You. 20. Now to You who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that I ask or think, according to the power that works in me, 21. to You be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
